2010 Volkswagen Touareg Tires

Just put these Westlake SU318 tires (275/45R19) on my 2010 VW Touareg to replace some very worn out Pirelli PZero tires. Huge reduction in road noise. On smooth streets, I barely hear any road noise. Definitely less road noise than the Pirellis. Have only driven a couple hundred of miles since installing, but dry and wet road handling seems to be very good and very comfortable ride. Huge snow storm last week and the tires worked fine in the snow and slush. I would recommend this tire for other SUVs. Last but not least, super great price thru SimpleTire. These cost me less than half the price had I gone with the Pirelli PZeros. Also, highly recommend using the installer option which makes for a quick and easy install from start to finish.

I had the tires mounted up about 1,000 miles ago. Wet and dry traction and feel has been great. I wasn't sure what to expect as these are my first All-Terrain tires on any vehicle. My VW Touareg has a great ride and sporty feel for a 2.5 ton vehicle, and these tires take nothing away from it. We just had our first decent snow so I took the Touareg out for a test drive to see how the 3PMSF rating really holds up. I must say I was impressed. I would rate them easily at 90% the capability of the true snow tires I have that I drove on last winter. Since they are still new with fresh, sharp edges, I think I'll keep them on this winter.
